The APA amount ( applicable only to crewed charters) is used to cover expenses incurred during the course of your yacht rental in Greece such as fuel, food, beverages, mooring fees and other expenses not included in the Charter Fee. The captain of the yacht is responsible for accounting for all APA expenses during the charter and the breakdown will be presented to you in a clear manner at the end of the charter. If the costs incurred during the course of the charter in Greece are less than the APA deposit, then the difference will be refunded to the Charterer at the end of the charter. If the costs incurred during the course of the charter that are over and above the APA deposit then this difference will be payable by the Charterer at the end of the charter.

For bareboat charters in Greece at least one valid certificate (suitable for the chartered vessel) is compulsory. A copy of the license is required to be sent along with the booking confirmation and the original must be presented at the base before your sailing vacation begins. If you don’t have one, we can provide a skipper to guide your journey. Please ensure to check the licensing requirements of your chosen destination before booking.

The cost of hiring a skipper is 210 euro per day plus food and own cabin. Hiring a skipper for your charter in Greece is a good way to ensure you will make the most of your sailing days. Our skippers are fluent in English and will be able to suggest suitable itineraries for your yachting vacation on the Greek islands, based on your wishes and preferences, but always taking under consideration the prevailing weather conditions.

A hostess can be hired for your sailing vacation at a cost of 160 euro per day plus food and beverages. A hostess will keep the yacht clean, cook, prepare snacks and drinks, look after children and generally help you relax and enjoy your sailing holiday in Greece even more.

Cancellation fees may vary. They are calculated depending on the period of time between the date of cancellation and departure date. If you need to withdraw from the contract for unavoidable reasons, you may suggest a suitable replacement, who can take up the contract for the same period, under the same conditions. If this is not possible, we will try to charter the yacht to someone else. If this is successful, then you will be entitled to a reimbursement of a part of the charter price according to our general Terms & Conditions. The Argo Saronic Gulf is a beautiful destination and can offer a wonderful sailing week. The Argo Saronic Islands are located near Athens and are worth a visit. Most known islands are Aegina, Agkistri, Spetses, Hydra, Poros, and Methana. Our staff members could provide you with a well detailed briefing about these islands during your check-in. If you wish to sail in the Cyclades islands, you have of course the main attractions like Mykonos or Santorini. If you want to see both islands you will need more than a one week charter. A two week charter is more suitable for someone who wishes to explore both islands. Mykonos is one of the best examples of the unique Cycladic architecture and a spellbinding attraction for visitors. If you visit Mykonos you will also have the opportunity to get to Delos Island, which is famous for its archeological sites. On your way to Mykonos you will also have the chance to visit the islands of Syros, Naxos, Paros and Cape Sounio. Santorini is considered to be the precious gem of the Aegean Sea. If you choose Santorini as your destination, keep in mind that because of the island's volcanic geology the water is too deep for anchoring. There is a marina on the southern end of the island, which is located at some distance from the main village of the island. You should keep in mind however, that the Cyclades have much more to offer, with beautiful islands like Kea, Kythnos, Sifnos, Serifos, Tinos, Milos and Folegandros, among other. If you wish to visit the Ionian Islands during your charter, you will be required to go through the Corinth Canal, where you are obliged to pay transit tolls. The exact amount varies depending on the yacht. You can find more information on the site of the Corinth Canal (www.aedik.gr) or contact us and we will inform you on the exact cost. You should be aware that there can often be delays waiting one's turn in order to go through the Canal, which can last a few hours. You will have to allow for a day for each way (getting through and then getting back). The best-known Ionian Islands are Zakynthos, Ithaca, Corfu, Kefalonia, Lefkada, and Paxi.

Fresh water can be more difficult to find than fuel! In the islands this can involve a tanker truck that isn't always immediately available. Fuel is generally available on demand by a tanker truck. You will be required by port authorities and marinas to present them with your boat papers and crew list. There is generally a small fee to be paid for overnight berthing. Anchoring is free, but be careful in looking after your tender, since any loss of equipment is your liability.

Lavrio * Lavrio's port is a small port on the southeast of Athens. Lavrio can be reached by taxi in less than half an hour from Athens International Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos). This base offers three options depending on the weather. One alternative is to sail north into the Sporades islands; another alternative is to sail east to the Cyclades islands or south to the Saronic Gulf and more specifically to Hydra and Spetses islands. Skiathos * Skiathos island as a base is ideally suited for those who want to cruise around the Sporades islands. Sporades cruising area generally has a mix of moderate weather and occasionally some strong winds. Paros * Paros island as a base offers the benefit of maximizing time of cruising around the Cyclades islands. It is a great departure point for those who want to cruise the central Aegean Sea. For those that enjoy stronger sailing conditions, central Aegean Sea can provide exciting sailing and plenty of action. Kos * Kos island is located in the middle of the Dodecanese group of islands and very close to the west coast of Turkey. Weather patterns in the Dodecanese islands, is generally a mix of moderate and windy conditions. Rhodes * Rhodes island provides the opportunity to get to Simi Island, one of the most forested and picturesque Greek islands in the southern of Dodecanese and also the chance to sail the coast of Turkey. Corfu * Corfu island is a great point of departure or ending point for a cruise around the Ionian Sea. For those who prefer lighter wind conditions and smoother sailing, the Ionian Sea is a wise choice. Lefkas * Lefkas island gives you the opportunity to sail either north or south in the Ionian Sea.
